SACRÉ

Collection of Work

Photographs mounted on acrylic cube light boxes and filmed in situ

Why do I feel at my best when I am under the sea? Sacré is a representation of my human response to being in the ocean: my connection to the ocean and how it makes me feel mentally and physically. My body of work was designed as an immersive installation, set up on the beach to explore the multi-sensory experience of being by the sea. I chose to call it Sacré because being under water, in this way, is a sacred experience for me. It feels like home, my safe place.

My artmaking practice has been influenced by the study and interpretation of Sculpture by the Sea.
